PURPOSE

  • create awareness and understanding of TS among
    the public, especially in schools;

  • educate schoolchildren, teachers, parents and the
    community in general on TS;

  • provide a forum for schoolchildren with TS to share
    their experience on living with TIC:and

  • create a layman’s resource centre for TS.
OBJECTIVES

  • To enable children with TS to live as a normal life as
    possible in and outside schools; and

  • To empower the community to understand and
    appreciate the challenges facing children with TS so
    that they can care for them and help them cope with
    their condition.


There is currently no local support group for children with TS
and their parents.

The level of public awareness about TS is almost zero.
Without awareness and understanding, schoolchildren with
TS risk being ostracized by their schoolmates and even
teachers.

Each child with TS will cope differently with its physical,
emotional, and social challenges. TS should not be allowed to
interfere in the everyday lives of children and become an
obstacle to their future.
