Tourette Syndrome Awareness
Malaysia
Tourette's is not a problem. It is part
of life. This page is for school
children with TS and their friends
who accept them or are learning to
accept them for what they are.
Sharing of stories can help towards
    creating greater awareness about TS.
We would love to hear your story.

i have a friend with this syndrome who was my
    classmate in
the year 2004. I knew that she had tourette syndrome
but i have to admit that i was not use to the shoutings...
    SORRY!! =(
But trust me you will get use to it.. =)... and she turn out
    to be a
really nice person and a really fun person to be with...
So all i am saying is that do not judge a person just
    because she might
have a syndrome because you will never know what a
    great and wonderful
person she might be. SO GET TO KNOW THEM FIRST
    BEFORE JUDGING THEM!!!
    =)

I'm not exactly a close friend of this girl who has
tourette syndrome but she's really NICE. Like they say ,
never judge a book by its cover . I believe having
tourette syndrome , might actually be a gift .

Having TS does not prevent you from becoming
    successful.

To be honest, i didn't really know that one of my friend,
an old friend from primary school plus a fellow
interactor has this syndrome. At first, it
gave me quite a shock as i wasn't use to it, but after a
while, i've gottten use to it and i didn't find it disturbing
anymore !!  =D so ppl wif TS aint dat bad
    till u really noe them !! =)

That doesn't mean they can't enjoy life like you and me.

I have a friend who's had TS since primary school and
    guess
what? She's just the same as all of us. So what if she
    makes sounds? It
doesn't make her any less normal. In fact, everyone has
    gotten so used to her
that it feels a little weird whenever she's not around.lol.
    Anyways,just wanted
to say that if someone u know has TS,we should give
    them support
    instead of shunting them away.

I've a friend with TS. She's one of the most supportive,
most thoughtful, most talented person I've met.
Despite the tics, she's just like you and me. In fact, TS
makes them very unique in many ways.
We here believe that and you should believe that too.
